1:1 tutoring for elementary and

middle school aged students

Students who struggle in reading and math can often be 1 to 2 years behind their grade level.

Why?

In reading, the root causes are usually with decoding words or comprehension. If students struggle in either of these areas they can not read well.

In math, there might be simple strategies students may have missed and once taught they can catch up to their grade level, or above, with tutoring.

Personalized in-person and virtual tutoring for elementary & middle school aged children available in the following subjects:

Math

Reading

Writing

Language Arts

Social Studies

Your child can succeed and even thrive in the classroom with ADHD.

An ADHD diagnosis can feel like a big shift in your child’s life. How can your child succeed in the classroom when focusing is hard?

I’m certified in adaptive learning to help students with ADHD, ADD, and auditory impairments to make strides in their education.

Success in the classroom is possible, read the story of one of my students:

“Ms. Miles has changed our lives and given my son a great start to a fantastic future.“

I am truly honored to be writing this review for Ms. Miles. She has taught my son not only how to read, but also to enjoy reading.

My son was diagnosed with ADHD in Kindergarten.

This was a hard pill to swallow for me as I did not understand exactly what that meant for him or for his future. Shortly after his diagnosis, he was given an IEP as he struggles with reading and would not read on his own unless he was read to.

We had to switch schools in first grade to a school that was recognized as an excellent school for ADHD students. My son received amazing help in school, however, he needed additional help. We tried many different reading institutions, facilities, phonic books, personal tutors, and have gotten some results, however, after a short while my son would plateau.

My desire for my son to be successful at reading became a chore for him, which only pushed him even further away from waiting to read, much less enjoy reading.

My good friend introduced me to Ms. Miles. When I met Ms. Miles, I brought my son with me.  I knew right away that she was a good fit. She understood how to communicate with my son and got him excited about reading.

This made me cry,

My son now has been reading, spelling, and doing math with Ms. Miles for 3 years. Yes, reading! He has advanced past his grade level in reading and math, and now does not have an IEP and is a straight-A student.

Ms. Miles has changed our lives and given my son a great start to a fantastic future.

Thank you, Ms. Miles
